For those who like this sort of trivia -- is there anyone who has had papers in ICALP tracks A,B, and C? (Different years are permissible.) Who has had papers in two of the three tracks?
Track B, being far out of my usual scope, seems hardest to get to me.

Martin Grohe had papers in both track A and B in 2007, viz.
Parameterized Approximability of the Disjoint Cycle Problem, with Magdalena GrĂ¼ber. In Proceedings of the 34th International Colloquium on Automata, Languages and Programming (ICALP'07, Track A), Lecture Notes in Computer Science 4596, pp.363-374, 2007.
Model Theory Makes Formulas Large, with Anuj Dawar, Stephan Kreutzer and Nicole Schweikardt. In Proceedings of the 34th International Colloquium on Automata, Languages and Programming (ICALP'07, Track B), Lecture Notes in Computer Science 4596, pp.913-924, 2007.
I believe that there are a good number of colleagues who have published in two of the tracks. It would be neat to know whether anybody has published in all the three tracks. Note, however, that Track C has only been active since 2005, and from 2009 it will change focus. See the most recent issue of the Bulletin of the EATCS for further information.
Here are examples of people with two out of three at the same year:
- Douglas Wikstrom - Track A and C(2005)
- Albert Atseria and Anuj Dawar - Track A and B (2007)
By the way, the three tracks format started only at 2005. Am I right?
Hoeteck Wee has had papers in tracks A(2008) and C(2005)
What's going on with ICALP track C? I couldn't find any information at the EATCS site.

"in view of the limited number of papers submitted to Track C in 2007 Giorgio Ausiello reported that the council is considering the opportunity to identify new topics for Track C, possibly starting with ICALP 2009"

"Also the organization of ICALP 2009 has
already started. As you know next year
ICALP will be organized in Rhodes, Greece,by Elias Koutsoupias and Paul Spirakis. The conference will host three tracks. It is important to notice that while Track A and Track B will be as usual devoted to Algorithms and Complexity, and Logic and Semantics respectively, Track C will be devoted to a new domain “Foundations of Modern Networks: Models, Algorithms and
Information Management” (tentative title).
We hope that the new track may attract
submissions from researchers belonging to other communities and can bring new
interdisciplinary lymph to ICALP. The
Program Committees of Tracks A and B will be chaired by Susanne Albers and Wolfgang Thomas respectively. The Program Committee of Track C will be co-chaired by Alberto Marchetti-Spaccamela and Yossi Matias."
By the way, track C at ICALP had 86 submissions this year. This is not such a small number, I think.
On a related question, during a recent hiring meeting the question of the relative ranking of ICALP track A and ESA came up. The members of the committee were all over the place. So for people out there in the blogosphere, how do you compare these two conferences?
