A few reasons<br /><br />(1) There aren't a lot of blogs about academic administration(with the notable exception of suburbdad.blogspot.com), so it is an under served market.You could say many things that haven't been said publicly before (or at least are not widely known). <br /><br />(2) All of us in academia are affected by administrative decisions, it would be nice to get a "peek behind the curtains" into why certain things work the way they do.<br /><br />(3) Many of us in academia might be asked to be chair/"area dean" some day, any information we get on what the job entails might be very helpful.<br /><br />Obviously there are many details you can't talk about, but I think many of us would be happy to hear whatever insights you are able to share.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8890204.post-55356924380426077582010-08-22T15:59:59.307-04:002010-08-22T15:59:59.307-04:00I definitely would want to read about such stuff. ...I definitely would want to read about such stuff.
